About
ATOM STONE

Atom Stone (Voyager, Metallic Green) hails from New York , a vocalist who started his musical journey as a woodwind player at the tender age of seven. He began playing the clarinet and saxophone, quickly advancing to Bass and Alto Clarinet within a few years. Continuing his exploration of musical instruments Atom has worked hard at becoming a skilled guitarist.

MORE ABOUT ATOM STONE

In his younger days Stone’s father and his uncle ran a recording studio in Utica NY, where they spent every weekend recording their own brand of music. A very young and impressionable Stone would spend many weekends at the studio as a spectator soaking in as much inspiration and knowledge as possible, while they worked on their projects.

Stone’s father was well known in the local music scene as he performed with some popular local bands as lead vocalist, immersing Atom in the live music scene of Upstate NY. Giving him the tools and exposure to hone his own craft and skill on the microphone. By age 13 he started to learn the “ins and outs” on how to to run live sound, which he did for his father’s band “East 126”.

Throughout his teenage years Stone began to make a mark on the local scene himself by performing in many local and regional bands; performing both covers and writing and producing original material,. Nurturing and establishing himself as the vocalist that you see and hear today with a carefully crafted unique and distinctive style and sound.

Atom founded KRYR in the mid-2000’s, releasing his first album, The Road to Me, in 2010. Mixed reviews and band lineup changes pushed Atom into exploring new musical directions, resulting in the current mainstream melodic rock vein of this new band and album.

2019 would see Atom working with veteran producer Dan Tracey (Alan Parsons Live Project), Nick Sturms (Nashville Songwriter/Producer) and Veteran Dave Albro (Grammy Nominated Engineer) on the new album “Take Me To The Fire”. This project provides soaring vocal aptitude with memorable hooks from this spectacular vocalist. Atom has been said to have a vocal style and sound that is a mix of Steve Perry, Robert Plant, and Lou Gramm.

TESTIMONIALS

I have known Atom for many years. His drive never ceases to amaze me….and his voice, damn his voice.

–Blake Carpenter

What a voice! What a friend! It was my honor to be able to record with Adam on his prior project. Adam is the real deal! Besides a spectacular voice Adam has a real handle on production. Adam is also a stellar performer and a fantastic guitarist. I wish him the greatest success on his new record.

The journey is beautiful, embrace it!

Life is a journey and it’s full of lessons and in the end you’ll see the morals and the values behind these lessons and the lessons themselves. Sometimes you’re not meant to know the meaning behind things now. Just have faith and trust in your journey.
